EXPERIENCE
IBM wanted to create an interactive digital/physical experience to highlight the key differentiators of their recent security acquisition, Randori.
We partnered closely with IBM Blue Studio, Randori experts, and Field.io to truly understand the technology so we could bring it to life in an authentic way. Together, we created an interactive digital/physical installation that let users think like a hacker to focus and prioritize their cybersecurity threats.
With leap motion technology, visitors experience the power of Randori first-hand, while giving subject matter experts a dynamic tool to demonstrate its value.
The experience narrative lets users experience the technology from a hacker's point of view, bringing all vulnerable assets into a single view, identifying and prioritizing the most tempting targets.
UNIVERSE
Users begin the experience zooming through a seemingly infinite galaxy of data points.
REVEAL
Starting from a single point of entry, the galaxy zooms out. The user sees interconnected lines and starts to understand the breakdown of an organization's data.
DETECT
Zooming back in, users can select and explore different data points.
PRIORITIZE
The data galaxy organizes and shifts. Targets are identified and categorized from low to medium to high, letting users know what threats to prioritize.
PROCESS
A core challenge was scaling this activation globally across attendee types and footprints. We explored a variety of form factors and scales to bring the experience to life.
OUTCOME
The experience continues to do double duty as an attract and teaching tool for global attendees, winning a host of awards along the way.
